#RememberOluwale is supporting two events this month: Conversations in Black History (1st) and the film Generation Revolution (10th). We hope people in our near Leeds will join us.

Conversations in Black History (on Wednesday 1st Feb 2017) includes Janet Alder speaking about the death in police custody in Hull of her brother Christopher, and Mahalia France-Mir (Board member of Remember Oluwale) speaking about the life and death of David Oluwale. The event has been organised by Dr Say Burgin and Dr Anyaa Anim-Adoo in the Leeds University History Department in conjunction with the Leeds West Indian Centre Charitable Trust. Generation Revolution is a new film about the latest wave of black militancy in Britain sparked in part by #BlackLivesMatter in the USA and the UK. It is being promoted by Remember Oluwale and New Black Film and hosted in Leeds by the Leeds Black Film Club. It’s on Friday 10th February 2017 in the premises of RJC Dance (Mandela Centre).
