As well as providing our financial accounts, we review the charity’s work over the previous year, including photos and brief descriptions of the events we organised with our partners:
- The Oluwale Partnership Symposium (Leeds Beckett University, 17.4.15) with wonderful support from the social science research group at Leeds Beckett University, Together for Peace (Mike Love), LASSN (Jon Beech) and Touchstone (Alison Lowe).
- We were a minor partner in the Leeds leg of the tour by Virtual Migrants (Seven Arts, 20.11.15).
- We co-organised a major public event titled ‘Oluwale Now! Remembering Human Rights in an Age of Crisis’ (Leeds University, 26.2.16) with Dr Andrew Warnes in the School of English at Leeds University — with Caryl Phillips and Gary Younge as the headline speakers.
- We co-launched the Oluwale Writing Price (in December 2015) with the Fiona Gell at the Big Bookend writing festival and SJ Bradley of Fictions of Every Kind.
